RSI’s projects and activities span the Middle East and North Africa, including the United Arab Emirates, Egypt, Jordan and Morocco, alongside initiatives that have reached other parts of the Arab world.
RSI’s projects and initiatives include the School of Research Science, the National Reading Project in Egypt and Morocco, the Reading Train Competition, the RSI Art Award, and educational events such as Math Street, alongside other projects and programmes in education and culture.
The National Reading Project is an initiative designed to promote reading in Arabic and strengthen engagement with books and knowledge. It was launched in Egypt in 2020 and expanded to Morocco in 2022, bringing together students, teachers, educational institutions and community organisations through a range of programmes and competitions. In Egypt, the project reaches more than 50,000 schools, institutes and universities, with around 25 million students, teachers and supervisors taking part.
RSI works with schools, universities, educational and cultural institutions, and government entities to develop and deliver educational and knowledge-based projects and initiatives. RSI is developing a future higher education project that will extend its work into the university sector. The project is intended to offer a modern learning experience that connects academic study with practical application, with a focus on areas such as technology, engineering and science. It is also planned to provide a flexible, multicultural learning environment and pathways that help students prepare for employment or continue their academic studies.
